How Businesses Can Generate More Leads Using LinkedIn

The Ibis Network Marketing Social Media NetworkingLinkedIn received 94 million total U.S. visits in December 2012, which is an increase in traffic of 40% from the year prior.  This demonstrates that LinkedIn is continually growing, and being used and sought after by professionals everywhere.  LinkedIn can be a great way to boost your professional appearance and generate leads. Below are some tips to generate leads from LinkedIn.

1.) Upload pictures and files- You can now attach photos and files to your updates on LinkedIn, making it easier to reach your target audience. Doing so will also present a more professional site by allowing companies to make custom updates to connections.

2.) Stay Active- By staying active on your LinkedIn site, you show your followers that they can count on you for valuable and interesting information, and they will begin to rely on your daily posts.

3.) Have a call to action- You can create and add banners to your company page for free.  The great thing about the banners is that they can link back to your website.  You can use banners to highlight customer testimonials, promote a company video, share a case study, etc.  This feature also gives your customers a simple way to contact you.

4.) Post in the mornings- Because mornings are typically high-traffic and high-conversation times, it can be very useful to post company status updates during these hours.  However you may find that your company receives its best impressions at different times, so do your research and use what works best for you. LinkedIn engagement numbers can be viewed by anyone who manages your company page; also be sure to watch the content that gets shared on your page as well.

5.) Custom messages- Send custom messages to your target audience to generate leads and interest.  By doing this, you can target specific people and organizations that you wish to get in contact with. Although this costs some money, it is well worth the investment.
